Recently we shared updates about how Jesus. All About Life events impacted local Australian communities this Easter.
But it wasn’t just Australian churches sharing the life-giving message of Christ.
In Fiji and Vanuatu, local churches were also empowered to share the Good News.
In Fiji, Bible Society South Pacific hosted a 3-day Easter production at the Suva Civic Centre as part of Jesus. All About Life. The theme was ‘Restoration’.
4,479 people attended the live event with 146,000 more watching the live stream.
A whopping 486 volunteers helped manage the production. The event was 70% volunteer-led, which was a major change from the previous year.
The venue seats 700 and was at full capacity every night. Keen attendees even resorted to sitting on the floor along the aisles.
The conference room below the auditorium used for overflow was fully booked too — brimming with eager believers who couldn’t secure a seat in the main venue. Event organisers also arranged an outdoor screen to accommodate those unable to find seating inside.
After the entertainment, evangelism speakers summed up the night’s program and delivered an altar call. Production volunteers were briefed for prayer support. A team of Bible Society South Pacific counsellors were also on standby for prayer covering.
Feedback from attendees was extremely positive!
“Thank you for championing and advocating change in our nation!,” said one event goer. “God has called [Bible Society] for great things in Fiji and the Pacific. Amazing work!”
“Hats off to everyone involved,” said another audience member. “I was watching online and the churches that did the drama portrayed the message so well. The drama was relatable on so many levels. They portrayed a valuable message of ‘finding Christ within your storms’.”
Meanwhile, the Seaside Market in Port Vila witnessed a historic occasion as Vanuatu hosted its first-ever Jesus. All About Life event.
Originally planned to be led by a youth committee, the event faced challenges in organisation. Thankfully, Vanuatu Football Association (VFA) and Bible Society South Pacific stepped in to host the event.
Churches joined in singing while VFA coaches creatively incorporated the Easter story into sports drills, uniting faith and athleticism.
Despite some hurdles, the one-day program proved successful at engaging youth aged 12-18.
Coordinator Pastor Daniel Boe highlighted the event’s transformative impact. He also expressed his thanks for Jesus. All About Life coordinator, Miliana.
The program continued into the evening with mesmerising fire dances captivating the crowd and adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the event.
Through innovative collaboration and perseverance, Vanuatu’s first Jesus. All About Life event demonstrated the power of unity and spread the message of faith and hope.
Jesus. All About Life will be back in 2025. Please pray with us for local churches here and in the South Pacific as they plan and prepare.
