Overview
Bible Society Australia is partnering with African Evangelistic Enterprise (AEE) in Rwanda and Ethiopia to engage churches, young people, and communities with the Jesus. All About Life (JAAL) Easter campaign in 2026. This movement encourages believers to share the hope of Jesus in everyday life, helping churches reconnect with their mission and strengthening spiritual foundations. Through outreach, training, and discipleship, JAAL equips leaders, students, and volunteers to share their faith with confidence and support new believers in their journey with Christ.
Rwanda is a deeply Christian nation, yet many believers lack confidence in sharing their faith. With young people making up over 60% of the population, many are disengaging from church and exploring alternative beliefs. This leaves a significant gap in discipleship and biblical understanding.
- 93% of Rwandans identify as Christian, yet only 51% regularly attend church
- 70%+ church leaders in Rwanda lack theological training
- 3 people groups (approx. 11,000 people) in Rwanda remain unreached by the gospel
Ethiopia’s urban communities are carrying the heavy weight of years of conflict, displacement, trauma and economic hardship. Families are grieving, young people are struggling with anxiety and PTSD, and many are searching for hope when traditional supports have collapsed. In this environment, people are longing for meaning, healing and spiritual renewal. The scale of suffering is immense:
- 4.5 million people are internally displaced
- 47% of young people in Amhara show PTSD symptoms
